ACE0340   Academic Literacy and Communication Skills   (20 credits)

Description

This module introduces students to key academic and communication skills essential to the successful completion of their chosen undergraduate degree. It supports students in the development of their academic writing, note-making and referencing, oral and other presentation skills, group working, IT skills, information literacy and independent research, revision, exam technique, and the management of heavy assessment and reading loads.The module emphasises techniques of self-reflection, so that learners can gain a better understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses, and be able to utilise and develop these further in the context of their specific degree pathways.
